Mutoh’s XpertJet 1682SR 64” eco-solvent printer has a staggered dual-printhead design that provides speeds up to 1000 sq. ft./hr. The new 7-color eco-solvent ink set produces smooth gradations, high-quality prints even with reduced resolution, a large color gamut, enhanced dot gain and outstanding durability. 1-liter bulk bags are less expensive and require changing less frequently. This large-bag system uses a permanent drop-in holder instead of hi-pak adaptors. Further ink savings: rather than having to clean both heads, the operator can select one individual print head on which to perform the head cleaning process.

The newly designed platform features state-of-the-art pressure rollers which allow the operator to disengage individual user-selected pressure rollers to prevent delicate media from cockling or binding. This multi-stage tensioning system enhances media feed stability. A new 12-sided media feed flange allows operators to easily and quickly load media and exchange multiple rolls. No more worries about it rolling away!

The XpertJet 1682SR incorporates automatic bi-directional alignment with a built-in color sensor, saving you time by automatically calibrating printer alignments. Enjoy easy front access of ink cartridge holders, LAN cable and power cords. Comes with a 66 lb. take-up and a touch panel with LED guide which displays only the keys necessary for a desired function. Internal LED lighting illuminates the work area, enabling the operator to easily check print status.

Additional features allow for easy maintenance: convenient user-replaceable wiper, improved capping station and heavy duty ink maintenance pump. Combine all of that with a high precision aluminum rail mechanism for stable printing and a status monitor that improves convenience and response by checking the printer’s operation status in real time over the network.
