HP is set to unveil the Latex 730 and Latex 830 series of printers at ISA Sign Expo 2025 in Las Vegas today (23 April).
The manufacturer said the latest generation of its water-based Latex large-format printers “are designed to deliver high-impact print quality, enhance productivity and costs” for small and medium-sized print companies “while continuing to differentiate with a sustainability edge”.
Consistent quality
Achieve consistent, high-quality prints with HP Pixel Control ink mixing and distribution. The HP Embedded Spectrophotometer enables accurate color profiling, while HP Latex Inks and automated double-sided printing support a wide range of high-margin applications.
Enhanced production
Universal printheads and a 50% longer-life maintenance cartridge reduce inventory management. Spindle-less front-loading saves time, while instant-dry prints and HP PrintOS Production Hub keep workflows seamless.

The Latex 830's additional speed options are: 388sqft/hr in four-pass High Speed mode, 269sqft/hr in six-pass Production Fast mode, 215sqft/hr in eight-pass Production Quality, Textiles and Backlit mode, 183sqft/hr in 12-pass High Saturation mode, and 151sqft/hr in 14-pass High Saturation Backlit and Textiles mode.
Latex 730 W and Latex 830 W models that each add two white printheads to the core eight (including seven HP Latex printheads and one HP Latex Optimizer) of the 730 and 830 models are also available and have different print speeds.
The new machines feature the latest generation of inks and printhead architecture, and the new digital color pipeline, HP Pixel Control.
Enabling users to deliver a more robust and consistent image quality at a lower number of passes, HP said Pixel Control would allow users to print uniform solid colors and greater detail.
Additionally, enhanced color consistency and the ability to create color profiles with the HP Embedded Spectrophotometer was said to enable users to confidently repeat print jobs across various media types without compromising quality.
Equipped with HP Latex ink and universal user-replaceable HP Latex printheads to deliver sharp 4-point text, HP said users could print a wide range of applications with the new printers, including branded campaigns, décor, and titled graphics, and would also be able to benefit from automated double-sided printing.
When used with the recently unveiled HP PrintOS Production Hub software, HP said customers could further enhance their operations by simplifying print workflows, order management, and remote production from a centralized, real-time platform.
The printers also boast spindle-less front-loading to facilitate quick and easy media loading, and a new output platen that minimizes material waste by allowing tighter media control of each print job.
HP further stated: “Users can also optimize inventory management with the new universal printheads and a new long-life maintenance cartridge with an extended lifespan by at least 50%.
“The HP Latex 830 is enhanced to further reduce running costs, featuring three-liter HP ink cartridges that can be replaced without halting operations.”
Daniel Martinez, global head and general manager of HP Large Format Business, said: “With the new HP Latex 730 and HP Latex 830 series, the beauty is on the inside.
“It’s the key things that really make a difference, from our new color pipeline HP Pixel Control to the new output platen that enables PSPs [print service providers] to print from the leading edge, we’re bringing innovation in this new series to deliver unrivalled quality, enhanced production and sustainability.”
